  The 2004 Sahara Challenge

DISCOVER hidden canyons where Indiana Jones galloped on horseback and drive through dusty remote villages where time has stood still for centuries.... sip freshly squeezed lemonade in the shade of the cliff-face, away from the glare of the desert, and you'll appreciate why the makers of epic films love Morocco.

This is the fifth time we have driven into Morocco - so you are with an experienced team eager to put past experience to good use. Drive the unforgettable open spaces and truly emtpy roads that unravel over distant horizons. Explore fresh ground and the hidden corners that in the past we have rushed by. This time, we are finding the time to stop, and savour a land full of hidden surprises.

Below: This Zagora sign to Timbuktu says 52 days by camel..

We have discovered a trail that runs across the Sahara north of Zagora that passes by the ruins of old Foreign Legion forts, with the sand piling up against the walls.... from an Oasis that should really rate as one of the "four corners of the earth" our track is a revelation to drive, and a memorable experience.

A wide range of classic cars are catered for, and in the past, a large bunch of vintageants, with their good ground clearance and simple mechanicals, have proved perfectly suited to this style of adventure-rallying.
