On 28 May 2013, the flag will fall at the start of the next Peking to Paris Motor Challenge... It's the longest and toughest challenge anyone can undertake in a vintage or classic car. Ahead lies thirty-three days of living an extraordinary adventure driving through some of the remotest places on earth. November 2013 - The Vintage Cape Horn
We concentrate on the very best of South America. The right crowd and no crowding, our Vintage-only drive down the Chile coast takes in the stunning gravel roads that twist and turn around the Pacific inlets, with whales and icebergs below, and all run in just the right weather-window…. avoiding the rains in the North and the car-breaking northern roads that have marred events put on by others in the past, this route has been carefully chosen for pre-war Vintageants. February 2015 - The Cape to Cairo
Limited to 25 cars, this is an adventure-drive for Medals, Gold, Silver and Bronze - there are no Regularities or Time Trials – designed to sample the best of Africa from bottom to top… we drive from the desert dunes of Namibia up to Livingstone, and the Victoria Falls, then up into Malawi, and on through Kenya, and the Ethiopian Highlands, at a pace that allows us time to enjoy the very best of Africa. A unique experience… but strictly limited places in order for the chosen few to enjoy off-the-beaten-track accommodation organised by the team who have run more events in Africa than anyone else.
June 2016 - The Peking to Paris Motor Challenge
Returns with a drive over the highest mountain roads in the world with a crossing of Tibet, stopping off at the foot of Mount Everest on our way to Friendship Bridge – this border was closed until we re-opened it for our first Peking Paris retrospective – and then driving through Nepal to Katmandu and on across the foothills of the Himalayas on roads from the old Himalayan Rally… this is a truly breath taking route in every sense. Limited to 90 cars only with priority for pre-war Vintageants.
Back in 1977 Philip Young was a competitor on the Singapore Airlines London to Sydney Rally. While researching for a new website about the 1977 London-Sydney Rally, an event that is still recorded as the longest car rally in history, even longer than our own Round the World Rally of 2000, we came across a newly published book recording the personal struggle of author Simon Park to reach Sydney. Endurance Rally Association events
The Endurance Rally Association has organised some 60 major events, in more than 50 different countries around the world, and has been responsible for some widely-acclaimed initiatives in rallying, taken up by others.... as well as being responsible for kick-starting the entire historic rally movement back in the 1980s, we instigated the all new endurance rallying scene.
